Test Archives - Test The Integrity of One or More Archives with a Single Action.

Act On File Windows Compatibility Seals

This section discusses the Test Archives functionality of the Compressor module.
The Test Archives functionality tests one or more archives with a single action without the need to open the archive(s) explicitly. After one selects the archives they want to test in Windows Explorer, they simply invoke the Test Archives functionality from the Act On File context menu. If required, they may make adjustments to the settings, but depending on the use of the functionality, this may not be required. After any adjustments are made, one simply clicks the OK button and waits for the process to complete its work. The Test Archives functionality allows the user to test the consistency of multiple archives with just one click.

Operation

To test the integrity and status of archives, you need to select the archives that you want to test in the selected items control of the Test Archives functionality. Decide whether you want to see a short or a detailed report, and if you want to open any archives with errors (if possible) using the Open Archive functionality and adjust the controls respectively. Click the OK button to start the testing process.
