How to use this service?
Select the file that is to be authenticated, its digital signature and the public key of the person/company who signed the file. Adjust the settings as advised by the signer of the file and click the "Authenticate File" button.

How to sign a file?
To sign a file, you need a private key and software able to create the signature. If you do not have a Public-Private Key pair for authentication then you can generate a new one using the
Sign Files
functionality of the
Authenticator
module of
Act On File
.
Remember to keep your private key secret at all times.
Publish your public key through an authentic channel, e.g. post it on your website, so that anyone can use it to authenticate documents and data which you have signed. If you have a Public-Private key pair then simply sign the file using the
Sign Files
functionality of the
Authenticator
module of
Act On File
.
Fill the controls and click the "Authenticate File" button.

Enter the file whose authenticity is to be tested. Choose "Download from URL" and enter the URL address of the file if it is located on a website, or choose "Select file" and select the file from the disk if it is found on the local computer or network.

Choose "Appended to file" if the signature is appended to the signed file, or "Download from URL" if it is located on a website and enter its URL address, or choose "Select file" and select the signature file from the disk if it is located on the local computer or network.
